The New Mindset Transitional Housing program is designed to drive the most vulnerable individuals towards financial
stability and emotional resilience, ultimately equipping them with the tools they need for a fresh start in life.

It is a complex problem influenced by various factors, including economic instability, family conflict, and societal challenges. This report aims to shed light on the scope, causes, and consequences of youth homelessness in the USA.

Recent data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) indicates that approximately 4.2 million youth experience homelessness each year. These youth often find themselves without stable housing, living in shelters, couch-surfing, or even sleeping rough on the streets. The prevalence of youth homelessness underscores the urgent need for effective solutions and support systems.

We Provide You Independence

Support Group

Our support group is tailored specifically for young people experiencing homelessness. We aim to provide a safe and welcoming space where youth can come together to share their experiences, receive emotional support to help them on their journey towards stability.

Job Readiness/ Employment Assistance

This initiative aims to equip young people with the skills, resources, and support needed to secure employment and achieve financial independence. From resume-building, workshops to interview preparation sessions, our program offers practical tools and guidance to help youth overcome barriers to employment.

Life Skills Classes

Our Life Skill Classes, are crafted with care to equip young individuals facing housing insecurity with essential tools for navigating life’s complexities. From mastering budgeting basics to honing interpersonal communication skills, our classes provide practical knowledge that fosters independence and resilience.

Benefit Coordination

Our dedicated team will work closely with individuals to navigate and access available benefits and support systems. We are committed to ensuring that every young person receives the support they need to thrive.

Spiritual Resources

We offers a supportive space where young individuals can explore their spirituality, find solace, and connect with a supportive community. Whether seeking guidance, comfort, or simply a sense of belonging, our doors are open to all youth on their journey toward hope and healing. Join us as we cultivate a nurturing environment where every young person’s spirit can flourish.

Weekly Evaluations

We are implementing a weekly evaluation program designed to support youth experiencing homelessness. Through brief, regular check-ins, we aim to ensure that their needs are met and challenges are addressed promptly. This proactive approach fosters accountability, progress, and a sense of support.

Accepting

Young adults transitioning from the foster care system to independent living. We understand they have experienced trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence, depression, sexual abuse, and/or tragic life changes.

Inspiring

We inspire young adults to be their authentic selves and live a life free of fear and guilt. Our peer support groups will inspire and motivate individuals so that we all can make a difference.

Supporting

Young adults at the highest extent with needed resources such as career readiness, life skill training, plan, benefits coordination, drivsavingser’s ed, and the goal of transition into independent living, where they will leave with the tools to maintain a self-sufficient life.

Reforming

We aim to promote a gradual change within young adult with valuable services such as case management where each client will follow an individualized service plan beneficial to their needs. Our services such as Life skill classes and counseling will shape young adult into leading a productive life with a new perspective.

Encouraging

All young adults can recover from their situations, by developing personal growth and continued working on their goals. We offer a variety of recovery tools to guide each individual in developing coping skills that focus on emotional and spiritual growth, self-esteem, and a healthy lifestyle.

How It Works!

Referral to New Mindsets Transitional Housing Program

Intake:
Application, Interview reference.
Assessment:
Life plan development, therapeutical evaluation, transitional Housing determination, signed contract.

12-18 Month Transitional Living:
Assignment of mentor, School and/or work, Housing provided supervised, Life skilled classes, Spiritual studies, Benefits coordination.

Independent Living:
Mentor relationship continues, financial independence, New Mindset resources as needed
